The story of la belle de mai
I was asked to paint a mural that captures the diversity of Marseille. This wall is located in the heart of La Belle de Mai which is one of the most diverse yet artistic neighborhoods in Marseille.
La belle de mai is known to host a wide range of African and Arab Emigrants. The lady in the mural was inspired of one of the neighbors I used to see everyday. While the bull was inspired by Palais Longchamp which is located right outside La Belle de Mai.
